They are also packed full with other super healthy ingredients, including chia seeds, macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds, cacao powder, coconut oil, so make for a fantastic healthy happy treat for your family.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons chia seeds
2/3 cup fermented Japanese kombucha tea (any flavour)
½ ground macadamia nuts
½ cup ground pumpkin seed
½ cup ground sunflower seeds
¼ milled walnuts
2 tbs cacao chocolate powder
2 tbs honey (add more for sweeter taste and less if ketogenic!)
2 tbs coconut oil (8 tbs coconut oil if ketogenic)
Coating:
½ cup of unsweetened coconut flakes ground
Fermented Kombucha Bliss Balls Recipe
- Soak chia seeds in fermented kombucha tea until liquid is fully absorbed and chia seeds expand and appear gel like, minimum of 30 minutes
- Mix all of the ground seeds and nuts together with cacao powder
- Melt coconut oil over a pan of warm / hot water
- Add half of the nut / seed mix into chia seed gel and mix in the melted coconut oil
- Add the remaining nut / seed mix a tablespoon at a time until a dough consistency achieved so that balls can be formed. If too wet add more nut / seed mix if to dry add more coconut oil.
- Roll balls from the mix, using a tablespoon to achieve consistent portions.
- Roll in the ground coconut flake.
- Eat them! (Store in fridge or freeze)
